Our goal at igokids is to be the go-to resource for all things kid and family related in New York City and beyond. We will only reach that goal if we have great relationships with local kid and family related businesses. We view you as true partners. On this page, we list many of the ways that we can work together. You help us provide useful information about your business to New York City parents and caregivers and we help you reach those parents and caregivers to gain new customers. We view it as a win-win. We hope you do too.

How to add your business to our directory

To add your business to our directory, go to this page: add a new place. Please fill in as much information as is applicable and make sure to include a link to your website and an email address so we can contact you. We will generally approve new listings within 1-2 business days. We will email you when the listing has been approved and is live in our system, or if we have any questions. You may also use the same link to add new physical locations to your existing business.

How to edit your business page

To edit or add information to your business page, first search for your business on igokids and then click the Edit info button located towards the top of the page. We will review the changes and approve them within approximately 1-2 business days. We will contact you when the changes are approved and live in our system or if we have any questions. You may also add photos of your business directly from your business page on igokids.

How to add events to our event calendar

We strive to have the most comprehensive kid and family related event calendar around. To add your upcoming events to our event calendar, go to: add a new event. You may also add events by visiting your business page on igokids and then clicking the Add event button located towards the top of the page. Please fill in as much information as is applicable. We will review the event and will typically approve it within approximately 1-2 business days. We will contact you when the event is approved and live in our system or if we have any questions. If you prefer, you are welcome to email us the details of an event to events@igokids.com and we will enter it into the event calendar.

How to list your event in our weekend events newsletter

Every Friday morning, we post to our blog and send out an email highlighting a number of the exciting family related events happening for the coming weekend in New York City. Our editors try to feature a wide range of activities for different age groups and in different neighborhoods and boroughs. Please note that the events listed represent just a small subset of the events we have listed in our event calendar. If you would like your event to be considered for our Friday events newsletter, please email us at partners@igokids.com.

Deals and offers

We have a dedicated "deals" page where you can promote your classes, services or events by offering a discount to igokids users. Unlike other sites that offer "deals," we currently do not charge you nor do we take any commission. In other words, running a "deal" on igokids is absolutely free. Plus, your deal can run as long as you want. We will even help you promote your deal through our social media channels (and we hope you will do the same through yours). Why don't we charge? Because we're a pretty new resource and we want to provide a helpful service to both you, the business, and to our users. Promotions

In addition to deals and offers, we also offer the opportunity for businesses to run a contest to promote their classes or services. We generally run no more than one contest at a time and each contest runs for about a week. We can promote the contest on our website (including on the homepage), through social media channels and with a dedicated email. We do not charge anything to run a contest but you must offer something of significant value (for example, a semester of classes, a membership or tickets to a performance). We also ask that you help promote the contest through your social media channels. If you are interested in running a promotion with us, please email us at partners@igokids.com.

Advertising

While we can help promote your business through our "deals" and "promotions" (see above), we currently do not accept any paid advertising. However, at some point down the road we will, so if you would like to chat about future advertising opportunities, please email us at partners@igokids.com.

We're working on lots of things that will allow us to work even closer with you, and to help make igokids an even better resource for families. Some of the things we're working on include: the ability to claim and manage your business page, add your events without our approval, respond publicly and/or privately to user reviews, easier support for multiple business locations and improved mobile accessibility.
