Here is part 3 of our series on spots in NYC to throw an amazing children's birthday party.

Does your child’s idea of a great time involve breaking out watercolors, pottery, or props to use in his one-man show? Maybe she knows the floor plan of the Metropolitan Museum of Art by heart or can effortlessly take apart your television and put it back together. Brooklyn Children's Museum
Catering to children ages 1-10, the Brooklyn Children’s Museum can throw one of six themed parties, including Dino Dig and Pirates of the Museum. Though prices vary (starting at $300 for up to 20 guests), most packages include 45 minutes in a private room where food, beverages, and cake are served. Add-on fun includes playtime in the International Grocery Store and Science Inquiry Center, guided free play in the Totally Tots center, which includes an interactive puppet show, or a treasure hunt around the museum.

Brooklyn Craft Farm
Future Picasso’s ages 5 and up will have a fantastic time celebrating their special day at this Gowanus craft school. The one and a half hour party ($38 per child for up to 18 children with a minimum of 8 children) includes one hour of crafting in which kids choose from applique, T-shirt and tote making and more, a half hour of pizza and/or cake, paper goods, decorations, and party favors.

Children's Museum of the Arts
The guest of honor can choose among four art workshops led and taught by an experienced teaching artist: Jackson Pollock, Wacky Hats, Animal Masks, or a custom project that fits the theme of the party. The basic museum package ($625 for up to 15 people) includes a private party room, two teaching artists to lead the workshop, and all-day admission to CMA, while the Exclusive Party package (starting at $1450 for 20 children) includes a catered meal, personalized birthday cake, gift bags, paper goods, invitations, pizza, and exclusive use of the museum’s galleries and studios.

Children's Museum of Manhattan (CMOM)
With themes that range from Adventures with Dora and Diego to Birthday Pageant, CMOM creates a special day filled with activities, music, educators, and fun. Prices vary depending on theme, but all parties include live music, an art project, a personalized birthday cake from Magnolia Bakery, invitations, pizza and juice, party favors, decorations, and all-day admission to the museum.

ConstructionKids
If your child loves to build structures and is between the ages of 5 and 10, a ConstructionKids party will delight. For the younger set, a two-hour party ($300 for 8 or fewer kids) features gender-neutral projects, paper goods, and supplies, and balloons. Kids ages 6-10 enjoy a Go-Cart Birthday Party, where they build milk crates using simple tools. All parties require parents or guardians to supply food, beverages, and cake.

Dumbelle
Combine your child’s love of fashion, illustration, and paper dolls with birthday fun at this Dumbo studio and school owned by artist Elaine Pedler. Party prices start at $50 for up to 10 children and include fashion art projects, a goody bag with favors, and a gift for the guest of honor. Would you expect anything less than a rock ‘n’ roll style birthday party at this sprawling indoor play space and learning center located on the Williamsburg waterfront? The basic 90-minute party package starts at $595 for 10 children plus the birthday guest and includes access to a 500 square foot party room, 30 minutes of play on their start-of-the-art playground, balloons, pizza, juice, personalized cupcakes, basic decorations, and paper goods. Galli Fairytale Theater
This fantastic children’s theater gives the birthday boy or girl and guests an opportunity to sit back and take in a show, as well as get up and become a part of the entertainment. Depending on which of the party packages is chosen, kids get to meet actors, improvise on stage, take part in a theater workshop and create their own show, or participate in a talent show with awards. Kids will have a blast belting out every song they picked up on the Disney Channel at this Upper East Side karaoke venue.
