New York City Fire Museum
The Junior Firefighter Birthday Package ($725 for up to 15 guests, not including the birthday boy or girl) is perfect for children ages 3-6 whose eyes brighten each time a fire truck whizzes by. The cost includes admission to the Museum for children and adults, free play, story-telling, a scavenger hunt, and art project with a NYC firefighter, balloons, birthday cake, juice, goodie bags, and paper goods. New York Transit Museum
Enjoy a kid-friendly guided tour of the New York Transit Museum, as well as party games and activities, a family membership, and exclusive use of the lunch room and education center when you book a party at this cool Brooklyn venue. All parties are two hours and parents/guardians are responsible for supplying cake, cupcakes, and beverages. Pizza or additional food must be purchased through one of the Museum’s approved Local Stop Members. Prices range from $525 to $650 for up to 15 children and 6 adults, depending on the day and time.

National Museum of Mathematics
Your eight-year-old agrees: patterns are cool. Give him a birthday to remember at the Museum of Mathematics, where party guests will get full access to its many cool exhibits, which include Polypaint, Light Grooves, and Coaster Rollers. A 90-minute party ($950 for 10 children) includes a private party room and free admission to the museum. For an additional fee, the venue can provide pizza, beverages, cake, goody bags, and invitations. Museum members receive a discount.

The Scholastic Store
The children’s book publisher throws a fun and educational bash for children ages 1 and up. The Basic Party ($599 for up to 10 kids) includes a party planner, 90 minutes of crafting, dancing, games, and Sony time, and cupcakes and juice. For an additional cost, pizza, balloons, and even a visit from Clifford can be provided. Party themes are age-appropriate and include Extreme Racer, Farm Fun, and Young Wizard.
