The NYPL main branch
The main branch of the New York Public Library is the anchor of Bryant Park on its Eastern border. The children’s library is just off the entrance on 42nd Street and makes for a great rainy day place to let your kids’ imaginations run wild. The library itself seems more like a castle than a house of books, and you are welcome to wander through its many rooms and exhibits.

Ice skating
Though it’s not open in the summer, Citi Pond turns midtown Manhattan into a Winter Wonderland, complete with a market of handicrafts and delicious edibles. When the warm weather subsides and a chill returns to the air, you’ll want to lace up your skates and give it a whirl with your kids.

Though it only occupies two square blocks, Bryant Park packs a powerful punch of fun. Make this one of your regular stops throughout the summer and you’ll be sure to have a ball with your whole family.

Bryant Park is located in midtown Manhattan from 40th to 42nd Streets between 5th and 6th Avenues.
