February is coming to a close. But there is still plenty of time to enjoy National Chocolate Lovers Month. With all the snow and cold weather we've been having in NYC, you owe yourself a couple cups of hot chocolate. Grand Central Terminal and City Bakery are two great places to go to and enjoy the sweet taste of chocolate. If sweets aren't your thing, there are also several theater shows to check out this week as well as other fun activities. Families can enjoy a geometrical circus at BAM, family playtime at the Museum of Mathematics, Elmo and Abby Cadabby at Madison Square Garden, an extremely hungry caterpillar and even a floating princess. There are lots of events to check out this week. Here are our picks.

Blocks
Get ready for three clowns that turn the stage into a game of Tetris. Between February 28 and March 1, BAM will welcome Sweden’s Teater Tre to its stage. The performance troupe has designed a physical comedy show for young audiences. These clowns use space and colorful blocks to build, break and forge stronger relationships. It’s a visual display of what happens when you use teamwork and cooperation to get through the simple obstacles of life. Tickets cost $12.

Family Fridays at MoMath presented by Time Warner Cable: “ITSPHUN”
Once a month, the Museum of Mathematics hosts a family fun night. This month, the theme is geometric shapes and patterns. The creators of ITSPHUN, the geometric construction toy, will give families a chance to learn more about patterns and symmetry through playtime. You will learn how to build the perfect polyhedra and other geometric objects in on delightful evening of play. The great thing about these nights is that the activities are designed to put participants, regardless of age, on a level, mathematical playing field. The event takes place on Friday, February 27 at 6:30 pm. It’s free thanks to a partnership with Time Warner Cable. So be sure to register in advance.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
The winter may be raging on, but that doesn’t mean that every caterpillar is waiting until the sprint to eat. On Saturday, February 28, the BMCC TriBeCa Performing Arts Center will put on a special performance of “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” The play was adapted from the children’s book by Eric Carle. In the story, we follow Caterpillar as he eats a myriad of food on his way to becoming a butterfly. Kids will also delight in seeing Little Cloud, the caterpillar’s shape-shifting companion. Tickets are $25. The show starts at 1:30 pm. It is designed for children ages three and up.

The Light Princess
There is a new princess coming to town, and this one is lighter than a feather. Starting Friday, February 27, “The Light Princess” opens at The New Victory Theater. The story centers on a young princess, who has been cursed by a wicked witch. Sure, the story might sound a little familiar, but the curse is as odd as they come. In this story, the princess has been cursed to float through life forever. She must find a way to get back to ground by her 16th birthday or she’ll spend the rest of her life in the sky. Perhaps flying isn't all it’s cracked up to be? The play runs through March 8. It is 70 minutes, without intermission. Ticket prices start at $15.
